I ordered 6 cuttings for planting in Jamaica. I picked them up in Florida and they were beautiful. I got 7! I was very excited to get them home to plant them. After I got them here on March 13th I left them in the refrigerator until today (exactly 1 week). I just planted them and hoping they will grow strong and healthy because I planted all of them! We kept the cuttings in the frig until last weekend, when we planted them outside. Now, less than a week later, they are budding! We are very impressed with these elderberry cuttings!

Only half are still alive. I bought both RG and Ranch. The weekend following their arrival, all 8 went into the ground (4 and 4 of each) Ranch is doing beautifully. All the little sprouted areas have leafed out. However the Rob Gordon, not so much. All planted in the front yard in sandy soil that I hand cleared all roots and weeds from ahead of time. Azomite and epsoma plant tone thoroughly mixed through. Watered all the same. But the Rg are not doing well. All the buds dried up. I’ve done the scratch test, each of them are no longer green above the top half of the cutting. Planted them according to instructions. I think by now I should’ve seen progress. 3 stars only because half of the order is just not working out. Otherwise it would’ve been 5. I’ll change the rating if they start sprouting.

Super excited for these plants to continue growing. I purchased 2 varieties and both are doing great. Im hoping to transplant in the ground soon. These cuttings were planted in February, so only 2 full months of growth. I live in south florida so they have stayed partly shaded to help with heat stress.
